One of our favorite towns in Santorini was Fira. It's SUPER touristy but full of great shops, great food, and good views. We went twice - on our second day for lunch and our third day for dinner. Fira is a fifteen minute ATV ride from where we were staying, and a super nice ride at that!
On our first half-day in Santorini, we explored the small town of Megalochori where we were staying. With cobblestoned streets and narrow, looping alleyways, it was easily accessible by foot. But we quickly learned that to get around the rest of the island, we'd need some sort of transportation...because the bus system seemed unpredictable, we decided last minute to rent an ATV. Best decision ever. You'll see why in my next few posts!
Banksy Tunnel runs along Leake Street, underneath the Waterloo tube station. You wouldn't know it was there unless you'd read about it, like I had, when I first visited last summer. Returning this summer was cooler than I had expected - because nearly all of the graffiti that had been there before was painted over. I guess that's the great thing about street art; no one can stop anybody else from making it new again.
Here are a few moments captured from nights with friends, days at markets, parks, and more.
On the first full day in London, we did it all! We crossed the Thames three times over three different bridges, walked along Southbank, stopped into the Tate Modern museum, won lottery tickets (TWICE!) to The Book of Mormon on the West End, and ate a delicious dinner in Piccadilly Circus.
